1st Week of School

It was the first week of school what else can I say? Since our cousins in Idaho and Utah don't start school for another 2 weeks... we are feeling pretty picked on. When asked about the first day of school Drew said he was excited to play on the new playground. He said this about it : "Today I got to play on the new playground and I slid down this slide and it wasn't dangerous at all! 'Cause my teacher would worry if there was danger!" Simon liked the school lunch, Natalie on the other hand hates lunch, Sydney "Wow 7 classes, that's a lot." Emma says "There's such a time as 5 AM that's wrong." We all partied when it was Friday. We had Rice Krispie treats with Reeses Pieces and we had a few friends over.
The fun started Saturday morning with an array of colorful pancakes. We then spent the rest of the day in Bloomington IN home of Indiana University. We had to ask for directions at the local Subway to find our way to campus. Campus is beautiful with lots of flowers and trees, some rolling hills and rocks! It reminded us of home (where they are still not in school did we mention that???)

It sounds like a typical first week of school :). I'm very glad Drew's teacher won't let him do anything dangerous. That means Drew must have a very good teacher. :) By the way Aaron and Ashton are missing Drew like crazy. We might have to have a phone call soon. Aaron gets teary-eyed and says," I miss my favorite Andrew." We all miss you guys. I'm so glad you survived your first week! HORRAY! (That probably means you'll get out of school before we will.)

I just thought I would mention that we are still not in school :D
and I was not aware that there was such a time as 5 a.m.! Although I am aware that there is such a time as 4 a.m. because that is what time Christian has gotten up to pee for the last 4 nights in a row causing a chain reaction throughout the family. More information then you might have wanted to know. We did register for school today though so real life will be settling in soon enough. Thanks for the updates. As always we "promise" that we will update our blog soon!

You mean you are SERIOUS about this staying in Indiana thing? I thought it was just an extended vacation. That's great that the kids have adjusted. Hopefully Dad and Mom have adjusted. Are you finally on Indiana time? I loved all the individual comments. They were exactly something I would expect each person to day. BTW, sorry we missed your birthdays Darrin and Emma. Hope they were great.

After what I was afraid was an actual terrible crash of my brand new computer, with some head-scratchin' from Matt and a few keys punched, I am at least able to read your blog and see the fun pictures! I just hope I can log-out correctly and get back in another time. The colored pancakes? Gag. . . . Actually I don't love pancakes all that much, whatever color they are! I also am back at school and tomorrow is Sophomore registration - - feel bad for me too!

You guys know how to make the best treats, your always making something delicious together! I hope the rest of the year goes great for all of you!

I am so glad that everyone survived the first day of school. Karli went to the high school today to pay fees. Then we passed the middle school and didn't like it not being her school anymore. We sure do miss you guys.
