Due to some recent circumstances such as getting random drug tested at PHS and filling out my medical form for girls camp I thought the time had come to post some info about my health. I have recently been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a chronic disease affecting the central nervous system. MS is different for everybody and so far my only symptom is some numbness/tingling in my left hand. I was diagnosed because of the results of two MRIs. My mom's dad had MS and her sister, my Aunt Rebecca has MS. I take a daily injection called COPAXONE which reduces the effects of MS.
Because I was diagnosed early in life, have only one real symptom and started taking the medicine the outlook for me is good. I am feeling pretty good. You do not need to worry. You don't even have to ask me about it. However, if you are feeling badly for me I will take a cash donation for an ipod touch. (just kidding!)

Are you certain that numbness in your left hand is your only symptom. From the looks of that picture I think it has done something to your lips as well! Despite your lips, to say that I am proud of you would be an understatement. I am fortunately and unfortunately familiar with copoxane and "Charlie, it really hurts....and its still hurting!" Regarding the cash donation, I've decided rather than send you cash I will simply forward the letter that I recieved today indicating that I have won 2 tickets to anywhere in the United States PLUS accomodations and a $300 Target gift card. All you have to do is call the 1-800-number and provide all of your personal information including social security number and checking account information. Be sure to watch for it in the mail. Know that many prayers have been offered in your behalf, and your courage and optimism will bring hope to many. It already has. We love you Emma. GO, FIGHT, WIN!Love, Taylors
I love you emma you have always been a hero to me because you are very kind and you are so very brave! I love you very much and I will keep you in my prayers.
Love Ellie
You are the Bomb! We want to here more about the random drug testing. Don't settle for the iPod touch you should ask your daddy for an iPad. You'd be the first kid on the block with one. Use those same eyes from your pictures and bat them repeatedly when asking.
I love the picture!!! You are so awesome Emma, leave it to you to be so optimistic and so strong. If anyone could fight through it and do awesome it would be you! We will keep you in our prayers, which may not be as desired as an ipod but it's better than nothing ;) We love you
Emma, you are an amazing girl. Keep up the optimistic attitude, and I love the pictures. You are my new hero. Keep smiling. Love you!
