Trip to Palmyra!

School's Out! Let the family vacationing begin! We took a trip to see the church history sites in Ohio and New York. Our first day of the trip was spent at the Kirtland temple and the Newel K. Whitney Home and Store. The next few days we spent in Palmyra New York. We visited the Smith Home and the Sacred Grove, Sodus Point/ Lake Ontario and the Grandin Printing Press. Darrin, Sydney and Emma had the opportunity to do baptisms for the dead in the Palmyra temple and Jennifer was able to do an early morning temple session the next day. Our nights were spent at the Seneca Lake Girl's Camp. The couple running the camp, Brother and Sister Taylor were actually from Pocatello, Idaho! Sunday, we attended the Fayette ward and then visited the Whitmer Farm. Monday was our drive home and the babysitting began! (Jennifer, Sydney and Natalie are babysitting our next door neighbor's kids all summer and Emma is also babysitting this summer)

Loved the video! It is so fun to tour the country with the Simpson's. I'm delighted that you're seeing so many interesting and important places, and will be even more excited when you are back home and the places you visit are the club house in my backyard,
Cress Creek, the carousel in Porter Park - - you get my drift!!

What an awesome video! It looks like that was quite the vacation. I have always wanted to go visit Palmyra (I actually got a mission call to the Hill Cumorah Historical sites so Travis and I have put that on our list of places we want to visit). Perfect way to kick of the summer!!!

Such a great trip. I remember going on that trip with the kids when we lived in DC. Great memories. Will you be coming west this summer? Please drop by and say Hi. Let me know early and I will have a picnic. Love you!!!
